Your website should be bringing you work.

Most small business sites just sit there. Respectable enough to look at, no use to anybody. I build the other sort. I am based in South Shields and I work with businesses anywhere in the UK.

Takes thirty seconds. Back to you within one working day. I will not put you on a mailing list.

The problems Front is built to solve.

If more than one of these lands, you are not getting what you pay for. And somebody down the road is picking up the work instead.

It looks alright. The phone still does not ring.
Something leaves your account every month and you could not say what for.
It crawls on a phone, which is where nearly everybody looks at it.
You cannot change a price or an opening time without emailing somebody and waiting.
Someone searches for exactly what you do and finds a competitor.
You have no idea whether it has ever brought in a single job.

What you actually get out of it.

Nothing clever. Just the handful of things that decide whether a site earns its keep.

90+mobile PageSpeed

On every build. Most people open your site on a phone, on patchy signal, with about three seconds of patience. Slow sites lose them before they read a word.

1person on the job

You deal with me. Not an account manager who passes it to somebody you never speak to and reads your own emails back to you.

100%yours from day one

Domain, hosting, files, logins. All in your name. You could take the lot elsewhere tomorrow and I would hand it over.

Real builds, and I can talk you through every one.

No logo wall and no invented figures. Two of these are my own businesses, so you can ask me anything about them.

How it actually goes.

You will know where it is at every point. No four-month silence, no invoice you were not expecting.

01

Call

Fifteen minutes. You tell me what is wrong. I tell you whether I can fix it and what it costs. If I cannot help, I will say so.

02

Plan

A fixed price and a target date, in writing, before anything starts.

03

Build

I build it. You see it as it comes together, and you get your revisions along the way.

04

Launch

It goes live, everything goes into your name, and your package covers the aftercare.

Who you will actually work with Tim Cross Front is one person. I take the call, I write the copy, I build the site, and I am the one who answers the phone afterwards.
North East, UK wide Back to you within a working day

I run businesses as well, which is the point.

I have started three businesses in the North East, turned a converted pizza van into a restaurant, and run the commercial side of a multi-site retail operation. I built the software those businesses run on, because nothing off the shelf did the job properly.

So when I say a site should bring you work, I am not selling you a line. Mine have to. And you are not buying a slot on an agency floor. The person you speak to is the person who does the build.

Clear prices. Published.

Almost nobody in this market publishes prices. I do. Here is where each service starts.

All prices ex VAT. Retainers roll monthly, no lock-in. See full pricing →

What you are actually worried about.

It is rarely the price. It is handing over money, waiting months and ending up with something you cannot touch.

Fixed price

The quote is the invoice. Anything you add is priced in writing before I do it.

A date to work to

You get a target date in writing before you pay anything. It only moves if I am waiting on content or answers from you, and I will tell you at the time, not at the end.

You own everything

Domain, hosting, files and logins are in your name from day one.

No lock-in

Retainers run month to month. If it stops being worth it, tell me and it stops.

North East based. UK wide.

I am in South Shields and a fair bit of the work is local, but the job runs the same whether you are in Gateshead or Guildford. Calls, screen shares, email. I have never needed to be in the room.

What people ask before they book.

Will this actually get me more enquiries?
That is the only thing it is built to do. Every site is set up to turn visitors into enquiries and to track them, so you can see the number rather than guess at it. If more enquiries is not the goal, I am the wrong person to call.
How long will it take?
You get a target date in writing before you pay anything, and I work to it. It only moves if I am waiting on copy, photos or answers from you, and I will tell you the moment that happens rather than at the end. Anyone who promises you a fixed launch date without seeing your content first is guessing.
What happens if I do not like it?
You see the build as it comes together, not at a big reveal at the end. You get rounds of revisions along the way, so there is no moment where you are handed something you hate. And you own it, so you are never stuck.
How much does a website cost?
Web design starts at 695 pounds for a one-pager and runs to 2,195 pounds for the full build. Ecommerce, applications, SEO, PPC and marketing all have published prices too. No request-a-quote, no phone call to get a number.
Do I own it, or am I renting from you?
You own all of it from day one: the domain, the hosting, the files and every login. Care plans and retainers roll monthly. You stay because it is working, never because you are locked in.
I already have a website. Can you just fix it?
Sometimes. If the bones are good I will tell you honestly and quote to improve it. If it will cost more to fix than to rebuild, I will tell you that too. The free site review is the place to start.
